Bath Time for Alley and Mackenzie and a little kiss!

Easter Egg hunt with Cousin Wyatt

Catch up time. Alley is 2 1/2 and full of energy. She loves to go to school. On Monday's she gets to pick up her cousin Megan at school and play with Wyatt, Charley and Megan at their house til it is time for naps. Alley also has her friends next door that she plays with. When Mackenzie arrived Alley was such a nice big sister. She helped mommy and daddy, but the best part was being able to sit in mommy's lap again! " Mommy had big tummy and it popped!"
Daddy took some time off when Mackenzie was born. Ma C went home to Colorado for a nice long visit and then was back to help mommy out.

Mommy went back to work and Ma C came to stay. The first day with 2 little ones was an interesting one for Ma C. Mackenzie wanted to eat every hour and Alley wanted to play. Alley decided she was going to sit on the couch with her bean bag chair. After throwing Alley to the ground with a few tears, Alley remarked that it didn't stay where I put it. After watching Alley climb and jump off steps, Ma C decided it was time to enroll her in gymnastics. Mommy took her to observe and had a hard time containing her on the sideline so last Thursday she had her first official class and LOVED IT! Class it is for Alley once a week where she can jump and roll to her hearts delight.

Mackenzie is growing so fast. She is almost 2 months old, holding her head high (with a few wobbles.) She's beginning to enjoy her play mat staying awake a little longer each day. She continues to enjoy her bottles with big sister helping her hold it. She smiles at Alley and gets LOTS of hugs and kisses.

Next week Coach Kip comes in for the marathon. Uncle Jeremy and Ben, Aunt Tracy and Jessica will be running too. Coach Kip has been demoted to the 1/2 marathon as his training just wasn't coming together.....tv, spin class, sitting on the porch, workaholic, venture club and biking were taking over. Marathon is saved for future training for him. We're all excited to see everyone next weekend run fast. Their will be lots of grandkids to watch Coach as 3 new babies were added this year. Wells-4 months, Charlie-6 months and Mackenzie 7 weeks. Megan is 4 1/2. Wyatt is 2 1/2. Uncle Ben and Aunt Lydia are going to add another grand baby in September. Lots of cousins for Alley and Mackenzie.

Alley also has a new cousin on Daddy's side who will be born in August. Alley has a friend she plays with at Nana's and Papa's house called Annie Wilson. They have all kinds of fun together. Annie's going to visit in July for a whole week. Lots of play time for the 2 of them.

One Year Old Pictures

Reunion Time

Saturday, June 28th was a big reunion for the Alley side of the family on my Dad's side. It was a beautiful day. Last year mom was pregnant with Alley. She had a big belly and fat ankles. This year mom and dad got to chase Alley around. Sitting down and having an adult conversation just doesn't happen anymore with a busy one year old.

Alley Turns One

Birthday celebrations never ending......Friday night with the Aunts and Uncles, Saturday with the Alley side reunion, and then Sunday with Grannie O and Grampa Tommy. Lots of fun and lots of cake and ice cream.

22lbs (75%) and 30 inches (95 %) and 3 shots. Alley's growing tall, thinning out, and busy for a one year old.

When Alley visits Granny O she takes lots of pictures. Sometimes Aunt Sarah takes some too. They're always fun because Alley gets to wander and Granny O gets some great pictures as she follows Alley around. Alley did wander a tad close to the pond. She found out that the waters not as much fun when one falls in with clothes on!
