One Year Old Pictures

Reunion Time

Saturday, June 28th was a big reunion for the Alley side of the family on my Dad's side. It was a beautiful day. Last year mom was pregnant with Alley. She had a big belly and fat ankles. This year mom and dad got to chase Alley around. Sitting down and having an adult conversation just doesn't happen anymore with a busy one year old.

Alley Reunion

Alley Turns One

Birthday celebrations never ending......Friday night with the Aunts and Uncles, Saturday with the Alley side reunion, and then Sunday with Grannie O and Grampa Tommy. Lots of fun and lots of cake and ice cream.
22lbs (75%) and 30 inches (95 %) and 3 shots. Alley's growing tall, thinning out, and busy for a one year old.
When Alley visits Granny O she takes lots of pictures. Sometimes Aunt Sarah takes some too. They're always fun because Alley gets to wander and Granny O gets some great pictures as she follows Alley around. Alley did wander a tad close to the pond. She found out that the waters not as much fun when one falls in with clothes on!

Swimming in the Pond!

A Cake for me!
Here I am mid-air going for the pond!
That was scary mom!
A few left over tears from my fall in the pond!

Cousin Sam and Alley.

11 month pictures

Almost ! years old!

June was a busy but fun month. Mommy was home all day. Daddy took some time off. Alley had lots of play dates with Gramma and Grampa. It was a hot June so swimming almost everyday was fun. Playing in the backyard and playing with friends next door kept Alley busy and tired. Play dates at the park, going to Chic-Fila, swimming at gramma and grampa's, target shopping, and swimming at the neighborhood pool were other highlights of the month.

May Happenings!

Aunt Lydia with Megan celebrating her Masters in Education from Vanderbilt.
Poor Aunt Jessica! This is what her car looked like after her exercise class!
A teenager was in a hurry to get to her Final Exams at Brentwood High School....oops!
Coach and his friends running in the Memorial Day Bolderboulder 10k in Colorado
Megan likes Alleys turtle.
Alley trying to tell Megan that's my turtle, but Megan tells her it's "Mine!"

Aunt Lydia's graduation from Vanderbilt was on a warm weekend in May. Everyone got together at their house that night. Lydia's mom had fun playing with me. We went all over the house looking at pictures and toys.
Coach went to the Holy Lands and brought back a noisey recorder. Mom and Dad took it away until I'm older because it's so loud. Thanks Coach!
Coach ran the Bolderboulder and sent a pic with his buddies. Everybody is a runner in this family. Alley will be right there beside everyone in a few years the way she likes to move.
Aunt Jessica went to an exercise class early in the morning and she came out of class to see her car with no front bumper attached. Aunt Jessica wasn't a happy camper that day!
Aunt Lydia and Uncle Ben took care of a house over Memorial Day so Mom and Dad loaded me up and away we went to their house and their big pool. The pool is great. Everyone can touch and walk around! Alley loves the water and likes to go under.
After mom finished the school year, Mama C left for Colorado. Alley is loving having mom home for the summer. So many things to do!

10 and 11 Months old

Dad and Alley on Daddy's new mower. John Deers made a big mower.
Now Daddy has more time to play and do chores around the house now.
Pretty cool....I got mom's glasses!
Here mom you wear them now!
I love water. My pool is great but "Mom, can we go to the big pool now?"

Making time to post on the blog hasn't been easy with a busy 10 month old. So many things happened with Alley all at once.... walking, crawling and climbing. And all at such an early age. She still walks better than she crawls! If Alley wants something she will figure out what it will take to get it. Walk, crawl and maybe a little climb or reach to nab it. Her day starts at 5:00 am ready to greet mom with giggles and talk. Milk or juice to quench the thirst and then on to a little tv so mom can get some coffee and wake up. After playing for a couple of hours it's time for breakfast and then a nice long walk maybe falling asleep on the walk or ready for a morning nap when home. Hour or 2 of sleep and then ready to go to the pool or play in the yard with her toys or the kids next door. Lunch, down for a nap and then a nice long stroller ride before dinner and bath time. Lots of pictures to follow showing how much she has grown. It's hard to believe she's not a baby anymore. She's a "Busy, ready to go Toddler!"

Alley is 10 months today.

Hey Daddy, can we play?

Daddy and Alley hanging out together.

The past couple of weeks have been devoted to napping. Morning nap and long afternoon nap and they have to be in my bed. Each day is easier and the naps are longer especially when Alley gets outside to play. A morning stroller ride and then playing in the backyard sometimes with my neighbors. Elijah who is 18 months likes to push Alley down. Alley is pretty good about taking it but sometimes can't hold back the tears.
Alley is walking by herself but still likes to hold a hand. She's venturing out without a hand more and more each day. She is crawling and especially likes the kitchen where she can get into the pots and pans and then venture over to the catfood when no one is looking. Routine is setting in starting with getting up with Mommy and then playing with Daddy while mommy gets ready for work. Daddy plays with Alley while she watches Wiggles. Then maybe a little Barnie and Seseme Street. Then time for breakfast and a little morning nap. Then my favorite time of the day to go outside and play and stroll. Lunch and then a long afternoon nap. Mommy comes home and Alley gets so excited. Daddy gets home early some days too. Alley gets to play with both mommy and daddy which is a treat. Usually outside for a while and then dinner and bath time. Lots of time for reading books and then Night night.
Babbling is constant. Everything is so new to talk about. Kitty is a favorite word for Paddy and Moe. Hobbs next door gets a kitty squeal too. Every day is a new adventure with more babble and a few babbles actually sounding like words.
Daddy has a new riding mower so now he can get the lawn cut, weeded and swept in half the time. Now Alley has more time to play with him.

10 Months Old

This week Alley will be 10 months old. We'll be back to tell you what she can do at 10 months. It's been an active month! See you soon.

Easter Evening

After a long day with my cousins we headed over to Papa Tommy's and had Easter Dinner. It was beautiful on the farm. Lots of green grass and cows mowing in the background. I was a tired girl when we got home that night.

Easter Morning Ready for Church

Ready for church and then brunch at Aunt Jessica's.

Easter Morning

Easter morning we got up and went to early church. It was my first time in the nursery. I had fun especially since my cousins were there too. We then went to their house for bagels and fruit. It was such a beautiful day I took my nap under their tree in the backyard.
Cousin Wyatt in his jumperoo. That boy can JUMP!

Megan found lots of Easter Eggs in the backyard with lots of candy inside them!

That's me...trying to walk with a bonnet on my head!

Am I cute or what!

Yeah...you can get my picture in this hat this year! All for you Coach!
