Alley is 10 months today.

Hey Daddy, can we play?

Daddy and Alley hanging out together.

The past couple of weeks have been devoted to napping. Morning nap and long afternoon nap and they have to be in my bed. Each day is easier and the naps are longer especially when Alley gets outside to play. A morning stroller ride and then playing in the backyard sometimes with my neighbors. Elijah who is 18 months likes to push Alley down. Alley is pretty good about taking it but sometimes can't hold back the tears.
Alley is walking by herself but still likes to hold a hand. She's venturing out without a hand more and more each day. She is crawling and especially likes the kitchen where she can get into the pots and pans and then venture over to the catfood when no one is looking. Routine is setting in starting with getting up with Mommy and then playing with Daddy while mommy gets ready for work. Daddy plays with Alley while she watches Wiggles. Then maybe a little Barnie and Seseme Street. Then time for breakfast and a little morning nap. Then my favorite time of the day to go outside and play and stroll. Lunch and then a long afternoon nap. Mommy comes home and Alley gets so excited. Daddy gets home early some days too. Alley gets to play with both mommy and daddy which is a treat. Usually outside for a while and then dinner and bath time. Lots of time for reading books and then Night night.
Babbling is constant. Everything is so new to talk about. Kitty is a favorite word for Paddy and Moe. Hobbs next door gets a kitty squeal too. Every day is a new adventure with more babble and a few babbles actually sounding like words.
Daddy has a new riding mower so now he can get the lawn cut, weeded and swept in half the time. Now Alley has more time to play with him.

10 Months Old

This week Alley will be 10 months old. We'll be back to tell you what she can do at 10 months. It's been an active month! See you soon.

Easter Evening

After a long day with my cousins we headed over to Papa Tommy's and had Easter Dinner. It was beautiful on the farm. Lots of green grass and cows mowing in the background. I was a tired girl when we got home that night.

Easter Morning Ready for Church

Ready for church and then brunch at Aunt Jessica's.

Easter Morning

Easter morning we got up and went to early church. It was my first time in the nursery. I had fun especially since my cousins were there too. We then went to their house for bagels and fruit. It was such a beautiful day I took my nap under their tree in the backyard.
Cousin Wyatt in his jumperoo. That boy can JUMP!

Megan found lots of Easter Eggs in the backyard with lots of candy inside them!

That's me...trying to walk with a bonnet on my head!

Am I cute or what!

Yeah...you can get my picture in this hat this year! All for you Coach!

EASTER

It's finally warm enough for water time! Love my water table.

Mom......really do you have to!!!

Alley's Easter Bonnet just for Coach! Oops...who says we need an Easter Dress!!

Aunt Tracy Volunteering

Aunt Tracy was in charge of Sisters of Nashville in mid-April. We went downtown to the Court Yard where they had festivities featuring the Japanese cultural events. It was a beautiful spring day. We had fun walking around the courtyard looking at the different activities and listening to Japanese music playing in the background.

Daddy and Alley with LP Field in the background!
Daddy likes that field!!

Aunt Tracy working at the booth. She led a 3 mile walk early in the morning celebrating the Cherry Blossom Festival. They are hoping to have more Cherry Blossom Trees planted in Nashville than in Washington D.C. in the next few years!

Play dates with cousin Wyatt and Megan

I get to see my cousins often. Sometimes we stay inside but most of the time we go to the park and play. Daddy goes with us sometimes and we swing and have fun together.

Alley loves to hold hands. She finds Wyatt's hand and holds on.

Oops! That eye looks pretty interesting to Alley!

WHERE SHOULD I SLEEP TODAY

Spring Break was devoted to learning to sleep in my own bed. I loved to sleep everywhere but my crib. During Spring Break mommy made me sleep in my own crib. I cried and cried but she made me find out that my crib wasn't so bad. I still like to fall asleep in different places!

Spring bread mommy and I got to catch up on our sleep!

I Want to go Outside

Alley loves being outside. This is where she will stand
waiting to go outside with mommy and daddy. Neighbors have 5 children so it's fun to be outside with them too. They let me swing whenever I want.

A visit to Great Grandma and Granddads

It's so nice to have my great grandparents so close right now. Granny O and Papa Tommy pick me up and take me over to visit while they are so close. Look at my pretty beads! Daddy takes me over during the week when he is off from work. Pretty special visiting my great grandparents during the week.

LOVE my BATHTIME

Lots of Conversation during bath time!

Now I can pull myself up and find all kinds of things to get into!

GO DUKE! Congrats on March Madness

Alley loves Duke! ESPN is one of her favorite channels to watch with Daddy!

Catch up Time

Alley will be 10 months old this week so we will be back tracking a month to catch up.

So many new adventures this past month. 9 month check up was great. Healthy, happy baby. Only gained a lb. (22) but grew a bunch - now 29 inches long. Alley gave up her bottle completely and also nursing so formula and apple juice are a new staple in her diet. She's such a good eater. Also likes a few snacks - cheerios, baby puffs, and graham cracker. 2 teeth on top and 2 on bottom - such a cute smiley one! It's fun to watch the fingers figure out how to pick up little things. Alley continues to want to walk. No crawl and a little turning over but the main event is walking with someone's hand. Still plays so well by herself. She loves the out-of-doors. She will stand by the back door waiting to go out. Stroller riding is still a favorite. She now sits up towards the front of her seat so she can see everything and babble about it. Trees, birds-tweet,tweet, and pretty flowers are a favorite to babble about. Waving bye bye is fun and of course gets a giggle when everyone reacts! Time for pictures now to show how much Alley has grown.

Granny O took pictures of Alley with all the spring flowers beginning to bloom.
When Alley sees the camera she's all smiles!
