My First Halloween at the Pumpkin Patch

I almost out grew my doggie costume!
After so much rain we finally had sunshine. We met Aunt Jessica, Uncle Mark and Megan at the Pumpkin Patch. Megan was all over the place picking out pumpkins. She liked the nasty ones but Jessica was able to point her towards the already picked ones. We had our moment in the Wagon for cousin pics. Megan wasn't too interested in posing for pics...too much going on to stop for a pose! Alley was quite comfortable on the wagon....another bed! Everyone picked out their pumpkins and on we went. Next year Alley will be ready for a walk through the Patch!

This is Fun at the Pumpkin Patch!

Four Months Old

Alley has a lot to say this month so here goes... Mom and Dad are playing with me every day. I can focus and follow them everywhere. Mom comes home from school and dances with me. I giggle and then she giggles. Now that I can hold a rattle, I can pull the rattle that hangs above me on my play mat. It plays music. I keep pulling it and get so excited but I notice mom leaves after awhile. Hmm...I think I'm learning how to have my alone time! Mom also plays with my leap Frog. It plays music and the ABC's. I think mom wants me to know the ABC's by 6 months!! Some of her first graders don't know them so she's going to make sure I know them! Daddy comes home and has to wash his hands before he can touch me. I giggle at him waiting for my pick up. He picks me up and I go sooo high! I can see even more things up that high! He plays with me, but he has a new thing....the gym. He's been working out so pretty soon I won't have his belly to sit on! That's ok because I'm starting to sit up and I love to stand with their help. I'm not going to be a flower pot much longer.....I'll be on the move. I can roll over but when I do I can't get back so I'm a little frustrated. Working on it, but I love to pick up my feet and play with my toes so it makes it a tad hard to roll over with my feet in the air. Food is something new for me. Rice cereal at first but that was yukky so I have some bananas with it and now I eat a whole bowl. Maybe some applesauce pretty soon. I go for my check up next week so maybe the Dr. will say try something different.....I'm ready!!! I still sleep plenty, but I can stay awake longer for playtime. I take a long morning nap and then play until I'm ready for a long afternoon nap. When I wake up Mama C takes me for a stroller ride. I love to be outside moving. It's getting cooler but mom has a winter snowsuit for me so I will keep strolling! I like to meet new people but mom and dad are my favorites right now. You can talk to me, but give me a little bit of time to look at you before you pick me up. Then I will give you a Big Smile and maybe even a Giggle!!!

My First Trip

We went to Clearwater, Florida for a beach wedding. Becca's college roommate had a beautiful beach wedding in September. It was hot and humid but gorgeous. The ocean was 85...bath water. Alley had her first experience with salt water and waves. It was a beautiful wedding and a fun time on the beach. "Coach" (Grandpa) officiated at the wedding so "MaMa C" and "Coach" were there trying to keep up with all the partying!

Cousin Megan

Cousin Megan came to see Alley. The swing is Alley's favorite place but Cousin Megan decided Dog needed to swing with his pacifier. We had a fun visit with Cousin Megan and Aunt Jessica.

Alley's First Visit to Great Granny and Granddad

Granny and Granddad were anxious to see me. They came to visit me in the hospital. When I arrived at their house the pink and purple bunny were there to greet me. Granddad said, "Gimme the fist" and of course I did! We had a great visit and Aldon especially liked the banana pudding Granny prepared. Aldon wants Alley to know how special Granny and Granddad are to him. They have had many special times together....and the banana pudding is just the perfect ending to a visit.

My First Visit to

Love My Baths

Alley loves the water. We had to lower the top of the bathtub because Alley floods the floor! Once she learned to lift her feet she has a pretty good backstroke kick! Padawan and Mo like to sit on the counter and watch....until the splash comes and then they dart!

Mom and Alley

6 weeks wasn't long enough to be home with Alley - Back to school was hard leaving Alley behind but teaching my first graders is always a joy..... a few challenges too!! Alley came to visit my class. She was content in my arms as I helped my students. Mama C moved here to take care of Alley so she didn't have to go to day care. She takes care of her during the week but Granny O and Papa Tommy have their special times too, especially on Sunday nights.

Dad and Alley

Dad and Alley have their special times together. When Becca leaves for school Aldon takes care of Alley before work. Sometimes it's pacie war so she'll go back to sleep. Aldon likes to get a little more shut eye. 6:00am is a tad bit early. After getting up the paper needs to be read so Alley likes to join in. Alley is becoming a little social being. She is a yakker!!! If no one pays attention to her jabbering she just gets louder.

I'm a sleeper and a snuggler!

Alley's first weeks have been the typical eat, sleep, diaper change and the wobble head. She has pretty good neck control for just a few weeks old. Play time is the swing. She loves her swing, especially on her side. She's spoiled us already with her happy disposition. Will it continue????
