My 6 month check up

I'm a big girl now. Holding my own sippy cup.

And a spoon....Alley knows where that should go.

I'm not picky which cup you give me. Just give me some Apple Juice!

I'm this big.....21 lbs and 27 inches long. As the Dr. said, Alley's weight has caught up to her length. Mommy spent many days trying to get Alley to roll over but Alley has a "stubborn" side that says.....no, not interested, don't put me on my tummy and think you will see me turn over. So off to the Dr. Alley, Mommy and Daddy went having to say she can't roll over. As the Dr. assured them, babies do things when they want. She may not be able to turn over or crawl but she can stroll through the house walking. Mommy's back is still holding up but barely. Alley wants to be upright and walking. When she is content to sit, she plays so well by herself making lots of fun sounds. "Mama" and "Dada" are managed easily now. The new one is "dagoy." It is cute and always brings a chuckle to whom ever is listening. She babbles constantly and has inflections in her babbles that makes one think she is carrying on conversation with her toys. The mailbox is one of her favorites. It plays the ABC's, counting songs and silly songs. The zoo that goes round and round is another favorite. And she knows how to keep them playing. Fisher Price has done wonders though....there is a turn off button on both.....thank you Fisher Price!
Eating is a favorite time. 3 meals a day. Lots of oatmeal, milk, fruits and vegetables. Apple juice for the cup that she now can drink out of by herself. No More Bottles. Just mommy and a cup. Alley also likes to try eating puffs by herself. She can pick them up but can't seem to find her mouth to put them in. The mouth is opened ready for someone to pop one in though. Every day is an adventure with Alley. Some days she loves her naps. And others not so much. It keeps everyone on their toes when watching her because if she sleeps too long you worry that something is wrong. Taking walks in her stroller is still a highlight of the day. Although the weather hasn't been cooperating very well.
