Alley is 6 months old!

Can you believe it.....6 months old. Alley has learned so many things the past 2 months. She loves to be on her back with her feet raised. The toes find there way into the mouth many times. Being on her back is ok but she wants to see what is going on so by 4 1/2 months she was sitting up. Whole new world out there in the sitting up position. Toys to grab, cats to touch as they pass by her play rug, and lots of books to hold and chew. Eating has changed from just milk to oatmeal and milk. Mommy tried rice cereal but Alley made enough faces to say "Yuk!" Once she switched to oatmeal it was a go. Spoon feeding was easy to transition to. Now she's eating everything. Fruits are her favorite but she doesn't turn down anything. She's eating little cheerios. She can pick them up but hasn't figured out to take them to her mouth. Won't be long but for now she'll take help from anyone. Bottles are gone. Sippy cups in. Can't believe how well she took to the sippy cup. Aunt Jessica gave Alley many different types of sippy cups to try but Alley doesn't seem to be picky! Alley has always loved standing so now she is standing and can take 2 steps. Pretty good balance especially holding on to things. Mommy and Daddy are working on rolling over. Alley has NO interest in this. When she gets pushed over she gets her legs up in the crawling stage......oh no.....too early. She did get her first tooth over the holidays. Went through the teething pretty well. Few more extra wake ups in the night but not bad. The 2nd tooth came in last night. She had her first cold at 5 months but recovered rather quickly. A few cranky nights but once she learned to breath out of her mouth she slept much better. This week is her 6 month check up with a few shots to celebrate. More on that later.......
